Britney Spears’divorce from Sam Asghari was just finalized, but rather than celebrating, the singer apparently got into an explosive argument with her boyfriend at a Hollywood hotel, resulting in a visit from paramedics.
Why Paramedics Were Called On Britney Spears
Speaking to CNN, a source claims the “Toxic” songstress is now “home and safe” following a “major fight” with her beau at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood. Paramedics were apparently called as a result of a debacle, though it’s unclear if anyone required medical attention.
Spears’ representative hasn’t released a public statement on the reported incident, despite the media’s request for comment.
However, Britney seemed to reference the reports with an Instagram post, saying, “news is fake.”
“I would like respect at this time,” she wrote, explaining that she twisted her ankle, causing “paramedics shows up at my door illegally.”
“They never came in my room but I felt completly (sic) harassed,” Britney continued, without addressing the reports she got into an argument with her boyfriend. “I’m moving to Boston !!! Peace.”
Britney’s Current Boyfriend Has A Controversial Past
Britney has allegedly gotten physical with past partners, with reports saying she may have been aggressive towards her ex-husband, Sam Asghari, factoring in his decision to divorce her last August.
But her current boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz, has a criminal background that’s caused worry among her team and fans. His record encompasses several misdemeanors, including charges related to disturbing the peace, child endangerment, and driving without a license.
In December 2020, he was apprehended for possessing a firearm as a felon and unlawfully possessing ammunition, and Paul is reportedly still on probation.
Britney and Paul were first connected last fall, with some reports claiming he was the employee Britney allegedly cheated on her husband with, initiating her divorce. The singer has been relatively private about their relationship, even avoiding making a comment on break-up rumors that circulated earlier this year.
Nevertheless, Britney and Paul were spotted on a date last month, proving they’re still very much still connected. “Britney and Paul are definitely together,” a source recently told Us Weekly . “He’s still in the picture.”
It seems that the couple is making efforts to maintain a low profile with their relationship, possibly in response to the controversy it stirred up last year when their romance initially grabbed attention.
“She doesn’t like it when he leaves,” another source added, explaining Paul’s job as well as his children can detract attention from the singer. “[Britney] feels as though she deserves more attention, but he has to be there for his kids.”
Given the recent incident, as well as the concern from fans and Britney’s own team over Paul’s influence, only time will tell if this is a lasting relationship for Spears.
