Kourtney Kardashian is back to business full swing follow the fall birth of her fourth child, Rocky, the first baby she shares with her husband Travis Barker.
Though Kourtney makes parenting and running multiple businesses look easy, at least on T.V. and social media, the reality star recently made a candid confession about how tough returning to work was during her postpartum phase.
Kourtney Wasn’t Ready To Return To Work After Baby Rocky
In a new Instagram post, Kourtney shared that she was back to doing promotional work for her family’s show The Kardashians only three months after giving birth. While she looked glamorous during a photo shoot, Kourtney warned her fans she wasn’t feeling right, even if the images and videos don’t make it seem that way.
“BTS shooting all the promos for our @kardashianshulu billboards n’ stuff for season 5!” she explained in the caption.
“I was 3 months postpartum and not feeling quite ready for a big shoot like this where there’s lots and lots of people watching me all day,” she continued. “And even though my baby boy was with me all day on set it’s not the same when I’m covered in makeup, in high heels and wearing a dress versus our snuggly days at home in pajamas.”
Kourtney said she was choosing to look on the positive side, adding, “But something I’ve been doing lately is shifting my mind set and thinking of the positives! I am so blessed to be able to bring my baby to work. How fun to get to be glammed up when I’ve been home for months in pajamas.”
She added, “How blessed to get to work alongside my sisters and mom…we really have so much fun together! What a beautiful life!”
Kourtney May Quit Her Family’s Reality Show
Though she’s still very much in the spotlight, Kourtney has limited how much she shares and does publicly in recent years. This includes posting fewer photos of her older children to respect their privacy and being selective over red carpet appearances.
There have also been rumors that Kourtney is planning to quit reality T.V. which wouldn’t be surprising, considering her appearances on The Kardashians have been seldom compared to her sisters.
“Kourtney’s tired of the drama and fighting with Kim,” a source claimed to In Touch while Kourtney was still pregnant. “She’s made her position clear: She wants to quit the show after the baby comes.”
“She’s very protective of her relationship with Travis,” they continued. “She resents the expectation that they should have details of their life splashed on TV without consulting her first.”
Despite the speculation, Kourtney hasn’t clarified what her future on The Kardashians looks like.
