TAYLOR Swift has been linked back to an infamous French ruler of old.

The pop music sensation is famous in her own right, but her family has links to royalty from centuries ago.

Taylor, 34, is related to King Louis XIV of France, according to MyHeritage.

The family history site shared that the Pennsylvania native is in fact the 8th cousin 11 times removed of the king, who ruled from 1643 until his death in 1715.

King Louis XIV was known as the Sun King, and is to this day the longest-ever serving monarch in the world – much like Taylor’s long reign at the top of the charts.

The leader had a love of beauty, and was responsible for commissioning the Palace of Versailles in Paris, before his later family eventually moved to England, and then to the colonies.

However, Taylor is no ancestor to her ancestor’s life of luxury, as noted by the heritage site.

The star’s music video for Blank Space showed Taylor living it large in an opulent building, feasting at a huge table and taking walks through expansive gardens.

To pair with her royal blood, Taylor has the wealth to match Louis XIV’s extravagant lifestyle.

The star lives a life of luxury, and made history herself this year by becoming the first pop star billionaire.

Taylor has an eye-watering new worth of $1.1 billion, according to Forbes’ Rich List.

The building blocks of her huge wealth are of course tours and royalties, alongside the movie of her latest concert tour, investment in property, and brand endorsements.

Considering her healthy bank accounts, Taylor doesn’t seem scared to splash her cash, and spends plenty of money during her trips across the globe.

The star is often spotted out with her famous friends in New York and Los Angeles, meeting up for expensive dinners in the big cities when she’s not racking up the miles on her private jet.

Living up to her European roots, Taylor has also made her love of going out in London very clear, and frequents exclusive locations such as celebrity haunt The Groucho Club and luxury hotel The Savoy.

While Taylor can boast royal roots, it seems she’s found her king in boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34.

Many fans hoped that Taylor and her football star might make their first red carpet outing at the Met Gala next week, but insiders say they’ve turned down the invitation.
