Caitlyn Jenner was once an important member of the Kardashian-Jenner inner circle, but everything changed following her divorce from Kris Jenner.

Caitlyn’s former step-daughter Khloe Kardashian recently gave an update on their relationship in response to Caitlyn’s participation in a new documentary about the famous family, revealing they still remain on tense terms to this day.

Khloe Reflected On Her Relationship With Caitlyn

Khloe addressed Caitlyn in the season five premiere of The Kardashians, admitting it’s weird that Cait was her step-father for over two decades, and now they act like stranger, a tension which has only been exacerbated by Caitlyn’s participation in the new doc House of Kardashian.

“There’s this new documentary about our family and apparently whoever has been calling people that have either once been in our lives or are in our lives to do the documentary and no one really has agreed to do it, except for Caitlyn,”

“Caitlyn is completely free to do whatever she wants. I do find it strange that she would agree to do a documentary I would imagine isn’t trying to paint us in the most beautiful light,” Khloe told the camera. “I just know she wouldn’t like that about her.”

“This was my dad for 24 years. It hurts me too. And I was very close to Bruce. Bruce and I… I used to lay in bed with him and watch Unsolved Mysteries all the time,” she continued, expressing disappointment.

“I got so many text messages, like, ‘Doesn’t that hurt your feelings that this is what your stepdad says about you?’ It honestly doesn’t,'” Khloe went on. “I had such a great stepdad who raised me, so none of those things that are said, even if twisted or whatever, are gonna make me think differently of the life I’ve had.”

How Caitlyn Got On Bad Terms With The Kardashians

Caitlyn, an Olympic gold medalist, married Kris in 1991, blending their families from previous marriages. Caitlyn brought four children from her marriages to Chrystie Crownover and Linda Thompson, while Kris had four children from her marriage to Robert Kardashian: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob. Together, Caitlyn and Kris had two daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, creating a prominent family unit that would eventually rise to fame through the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

However, Caitlyn’s relationship with the Kardashian family became strained following her transition and subsequent divorce from Kris Jenner in 2015. Several major conflicts contributed to the deterioration of their relationship.

During her Vanity Fair interview in July 2015, for instance, Cait spoke candidly about her experiences with Kris and her life before transitioning. Caitlyn described her marriage to Kris as a challenging period, suggesting she had been mistreated and stifled.

This portrayal angered Kris and her children, who felt Caitlyn was unfairly rewriting their history and painting Kris in a negative light.

The publication of Caitlyn’s memoir, The Secrets of My Life, in 2017 further strained relationships. In the book, Caitlyn detailed her struggles with her gender identity and her marriage to Kris, reiterating some of the criticisms she had previously voiced. The Kardashians felt blindsided and betrayed by some of the revelations in the book.

Now, given Caitlyn’s participation in the new Kardashian documentary, it seems the feud between her and the Kardashian-Jenners has only deepened.
