Ozzy Osbourne Most Recent Update: “I can’t do it anymore”

Ozzy Osbourne was given a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2003, although he did not make his illness public until 2020.

Osbourne’s health has deteriorated significantly more lately.

Osbourne discussed his most recent health setback on his SiriusXM station Ozzy Speaks.

He said that because of blood clots in his legs, “they put a filter in your artery” to stop them from spreading to his heart or brain. Even though he recently had the filter removed, his health struggles are still ongoing. He said, “It’s just disappointment after disappointment.”

Despite claiming to be “in constant pain,” Osbourne said he tries “to stay away from the pain medication.”

Osbourne updated his followers on social media on July 10, 2023, about his health and how it was affecting his choice on whether or not to perform. In his statement, he stated that his “original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024.” Nevertheless, he was given the chance to play at the California Power Trip Festival in October 2023, and “when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward.”

Osbourne is now breaking the terrible news that he will ultimately be unable to perform in October. “Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet,” he wrote, “and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-assed.”

Despite Osbourne’s absence from the stage, the show must go on, and it will do so without him. The band that will take my place on Power Trip, he added, “will be announced shortly. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed because they are close personal friends of mine.

Osbourne thanked his supporters for their “unconditional loyalty and never-ending support” as he concluded his declaration.

Osbourne fell in 2019 and fractured his spine. He ultimately had surgery, but he is adamant about returning to the stage. Despite his continued desire to perform, he is also making plans for retirement. Osborne had stated to his followers in 2023, “I mean, if I could tour, I’d tour. But as of now, I’m unable to schedule tours because I doubt my ability to execute them.

Do you believe Osbourne will ever feel well enough to play again on stage, or do you believe his touring days are over?
