Many fans remain convinced that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez will announce a divorce soon, especially since J.Lo has cancelled her much-hyped world tour.

However, the couple seemed to be subtly addressing the divorce rumors while sharing an awkward kiss recently, though it appeared tense.

Affleck and Lopez were seen together at the YMCA in Santa Monica.

Recently, the pair have been spotted without their wedding rings and looking sombre during solo outings, making this joint appearance a notable exception.

Ben Seemed To Avoid A Full-Lips Kiss

According to photos obtained by The U.S. Sun, Jen looked glamorous in a black top and bell-bottom jeans, accessorized with a designer purse and coat. Ben opted for a more casual look, wearing a graphic tee that read “The Dickens,” a maroon shearling jacket, and holding a Coke can.

The couple, accompanied by Ben’s mom, attended to support the actor’s son Samuel at his basketball game. AS they walked in, Jen leaned forward to give Ben a seemingly forced peck on the cheek. His facial muscles appeared tense, and they maintained some distance during the kiss. Ben placed his hand near JLo’s lower back, but it never fully made contact.

It also seemed like Ben may have avoided a full-on kiss on the lips, as their embrace appeared awkward. As they ascended the steps of the venue, Ben stayed at least five feet behind Lopez, who walked ahead purposefully.

Ben paused to speak with his mom, appearing more relaxed, and then waved at photographers before they all went inside with a somber demeanor.

Interestingly, Jennifer Garner also attended the game to support Samuel but arrived separately. After the game, she left with Ben’s mom instead of the couple, and the two were seen chatting happily. Affleck shares three children with his ex-wife Garner, while Lopez has twins from her marriage to Marc Anthony.

Though divorce rumors have been circulating for months, they ramped p after Lopez made several solo appearances recently, including at the Met Gala as well as the premiere for her new Netflix movie Atlas.

Many Fan Theories Suggest What’s Going On With Ben And Jen

Despite Affleck’s no-show at the high-profile event, he and Lopez have been spotted together on numerous occasions recently, mainly rallied around their family. This includes a joint outing at one of their kids’ plays as well as attending the graduation party for Affleck’s oldest daughter Violet.

Lopez and Affleck haven’t commented on the break-up rumors, but not everyone is convinced the couple are divorcing. Famous blogger Perez Hilton shared his theory that Ben may have relapsed and could be seeking treatment. He may be in rehab, not actually living apart from J.Lo because of a divorce.

“The public doesn’t really know what’s going on with Affleck and Lopez but the romantic in me has a theory which is my best case scenario,” Perez said during an appearance on the podcast Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered.

“And that is that Ben, who has openly struggled with addiction, might have suffered a relapse and Jen, out of love, said I want to give you space to just focus on getting better,” he continued.

However, Perez’s theory remains unfounded, while Ben and Jen are silent on the rumors surrounding their marriage.
