Brad Pitt may have spent Father’s Day without his kids this year, but things could be different next year, given a new report that claims the actor is rushing to have children with his girlfriend Ines De Ramon.
“Ines is a breath of fresh air for Brad,” a source claimed to OK! Magazine. “With her, there’s no drama.”
“They’re not going to waste time with a long engagement,” they continued. “There’s a bit of urgency with this because Brad is very eager to have a child with Ines and she wants a proper commitment first. As soon as they tie the knot, the first priority will be having a baby.”
The report comes after Brad allegedly went without seeing his kids on Father’s Day following his daughters’ decision to drop his last name, suggesting they’re on bad terms with the actor as he continues his custody battle with ex Angelina Jolie.
Brad’s On Bad Terms With His Kids
Insiders revealed to In Touch that Pitt’s children believe they were mostly brought up by Jolie, making it more appropriate to spend the holiday with her rather than him.
Reports emerged earlier this month indicating that his daughter Shiloh has removed Pitt from her last name, which was initially hyphenated. This move seems to follow the example set by her sisters Vivienne and Zahara.
“Brad was blindsided by Shiloh dropping his last name, but he wasn’t surprised,” the insider disclosed regarding Brad’s reaction. “He feels that Angie has slowly but surely turned their kids against him. She absolutely influenced their decisions to distance themselves from their dad.”
In a conversation with PEOPLE , another source echoed this sentiment. “He’s aware and upset that Shiloh dropped his last name. He’s never felt more joy than when she was born. He always wanted a daughter,” they revealed.
“The reminders that he’s lost his children, is of course not easy for Brad. He loves his children and misses them. It’s very sad,” the source added.
Many Reports Say Brad And Ines Want Kids
Earlier this year, it was reported that Pitt is eager to begin a family with Ines, particularly now that her divorce from Paul Wesley, known for his role in Vampire Diaries, has been finalized after years of contentious legal proceedings.
“Their court battle is finally winding down, and extending an olive branch to Angelina is the right thing to do,” a source claimed to Life & Style . “His goal is to have his kids see him and Angie get along. He’s putting their family first.”
“Brad and Ines are smitten with each other and she recently moved into his Los Feliz mansion, proving how serious they are,” another source said Closer. “He’s known from the outset that Ines wants to become a mum and that’s something they discussed very early on, given their 30-year age gap.”
Pitt hasn’t responded to reports he wants more children.
