Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher shocked fans earlier this year by announcing their divorce, which apparently took place last year.

Few details are known about the long-time couple’s split, but there may be hope for a reconciliation, as Sacha was recently spotted wearing his wedding ring.

Though he’s been spotted without the band in recent months, Sacha was wearing it during a casual stroll in South London.

Dressed in a navy jumper and hat, he kept a low profile and avoided photographers, though the ring was noticeable on his left hand.

For now, neither Isla nor Sacha have commented on whether his wedding ring citing is a sign of reconciliation.

Though the former couple’s silence may signal the split has been amicable, one report from earlier this year claims their friends are being forced to pick sides as things get complicated amid workplace allegations levied at Sasha by his former co-star Rebel Wilson, which may have prompted Isla to go public with their break-up so as to distance herself from her ex.

“Sacha is in a full-blown PR crisis right now, as the end of his marriage and Rebel Wilson’s allegations are painting him as a bona fide villain. That means he needs to make this divorce as painless as possible, especially with his already fragile public image hanging in the balance,” an insider revealed to In Touch.

“He has amassed a huge fortune from his film and TV work. He totally has the money to be more than fair to Isla after all their time together,” they continued. “But he also is leaning on his decades of comedy contacts who are fiercely loyal to him.”

“Even though people assume Isla is close to Owen Wilson because of their work on Wedding Crashers together, Sacha was the one who was friends with Owen first and helped get Isla in that movie,” the source added. “Similarly, he has tight relationships with Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller and Will Ferrell that are going to come in extra-handy as he navigates these unknown waters.”

How The Divorce Is Affecting Their Kids

The same insider said the split is taking a toll on their children, especially since the news went public, which may further explain why the couple want to keep a tight lip on their personal affairs.

“For the sake of their kids, Isla is not going to draw this out into a long fight, but she’s also not going to settle for anything less than fair from Sacha, nor should she,” the explained. “She was his rock of support during his rise to fame in America, and absolutely contributed to his incredible success.”

Isla and Sasha were married in 2010, though their divorce was finalized in private in 2023.
