Justin Timberlake may have claimed to officers that he was fine when pulled out for driving while intoxicated earlier this month, but a bartender confirms he did have at least one drink before getting behind the wheel.

The staffer who reportedly served Timberlake at a bar before he was arrested has spoken out to reveal details of what the singer was doing before his arrest.

Justin Apparently Had At Least One Drink

A bartender at New York’s American Hotel confirmed that Justin Timberlake “had one drink” at the venue before his DWI arrest on June 18. The anonymous employee spoke to PEOPLE, recounting the singer’s actions and supporting Timberlake’s assertion that he only consumed “one martini.”

Another staff member at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor told the outlet, “If he was drinking more, it wasn’t here.”

Timberlake was taken into custody on DWI charges in the Hamptons. The Sag Harbor Police Department issued a statement about the arrest: “On June 18, 2024, at 12:37 AM, Justin R. Timberlake, age 43, of Tennessee, was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel.”

The statement continued, “A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department, and upon investigation, it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition.”

Timberlake’s lawyer had him freed from jail within a day, and he’s apparently planning to fight the charges.

Justin is waiting to face charges for his DWI, but that’s not the only consequence his actions may have, as it’s also taken a big toll on his marriage, reports claim. Though his wife, Jessica Biel, has been silent in the aftermath of his arrest, it speaks volumes.

Sources say the actress is very embarrassed by the situation, and apparently, their marriage was going through a rough patch even before he embarked on his world tour earlier this year.

“Jessica will be colossally disappointed and embarrassed that once again, Justin is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons,” a source claimed to the U.S. Sun. “There’s going to be a lot of questions asked of Justin moving forward, without a doubt.”

“He clearly has this self-destructive streak that keeps rearing its head,” they went on. “Jessica has shown the patience of a saint forgiving his various misdeeds over the past few years, but this is really testing her patience and then some.”

Jessica and Justin met in early 2007 and began dating shortly thereafter. They got engaged in December 2011 and were married in a lavish ceremony in Italy in October 2012. The couple has two children together, Silas, born in 2015, and Phineas, born in 2020.

Their relationship has faced public scrutiny, particularly in 2019 when Timberlake was photographed holding hands with his Palmer co-star Alisha Wainwright, sparking rumors of infidelity.
