But with the model due to give birth soon, some fans have become concerned with the rate at which she seems to be getting lip injections, and they’re begging her to slow down.

After sharing a video on Instagram to promote her beauty line, Rhode, Hailey found herself at the center of fan scrutiny.

The clip featured the model sitting in her car, applying makeup from her own skincare brand.

Fans Think Hailey Overdid It With Lip Injections

In the video, Hailey used a light pink shade of pocket blush on her cheeks and lips and showcased the pink tint of her new summer peptide lip colors. As she applied the makeup, Hailey pouted her lips, drawing attention from her followers who quickly commented on her seemingly fuller lips.

“So pretty but sadly the lip fillers let you down,” one person observed. Another follower commented, “Upper lip looks very unnatural bc of the filler,” while a third added, “Sorry ….can’t see anything past the lip fillers…”

The critiques didn’t stop there. “What happened to your mouth? Looks yikes!!!” another user remarked. Expressing a dislike for the trend, a fifth comment read, “I am not a fan of fake huge lips,” and yet another urged, “Stop with the lip injections!”

There Could Be Another Reason For Hailey’s Big Lips

Fans seemed more concerned about the look of Hailey’s lips, rather than whether injections are safe or not during pregnancy. While the opinions of medical professionals can vary, many sources say women should wait until after pregnancy to get fillers (though pre-existing fillers are usually not an issue while expecting).

“The reason pregnant and breastfeeding women shouldn’t get Botox or fillers (according to the FDA) is because of their fluctuating pregnancy hormones,” Dr. Shaun Parson, a plastic surgeon, explained. “It can cause issues with blood flow as well as swelling. In other words, it might cause issues for the mother—not the baby.”

Hailey’s fuller lips might not be the result of injections at all but rather a common pregnancy symptom. Pregnancy can cause various changes in a woman’s body, including increased blood flow and fluid retention, which can lead to swelling in different areas, including the lips and face.

This swelling is primarily due to hormonal changes, particularly the increase in estrogen and progesterone. These hormones cause the blood vessels to expand, leading to increased blood flow and fluid accumulation, which can make the lips appear plumper and more swollen.

Additionally, the body retains more water during pregnancy to support the growing baby, further contributing to this effect.

Given these physiological changes, it is entirely possible that Hailey’s fuller lips are a natural result of her pregnancy rather than cosmetic enhancements. This natural swelling is a temporary condition that typically resolves after childbirth. For now, Hailey isn’t responding to criticism over her looks.
