Instead, she met a man named Brandon Eaves on the dating app, Hinge. The pair began to date before her divorce from Derek was finalized. Brandon believed Katie was the “one” and proposed to her just a few months into their relationship.

In 2021, Katie and Brandon tied the knot. According to a Reddit thread, the couple got married in a barn-style wedding at The Gray Dove, in Ooltewah, Tennessee. Although her Instagram is private, in August 2022, the couple welcomed their first child. Katie appears to be in a much better place with her new husband and family.

So, what happened to Derek Sherman after the show ended and he and Katie separated? Derek decided to follow his dreams and travel the world.
