A tragic incident has affected one family deeply.

They are now trying to warn others after their young son was killed by a harmful online challenge.

11-year-old Tommie-Lee Billington from Lancaster, England, died because of a dangerous trend on TikTok.

This isn’t the first time such a trend has led to tragedy—two teenage girls also lost their lives from participating in the same challenge.

The family is sharing their story to help other parents understand the risks and to keep their children safe from similar dangers online.

The tragedy began when 11-year-old Tommie-Lee was at a friend’s house for a sleepover. The boys decided to try a TikTok challenge they saw online.

This challenge involved inhaling harmful gases or solvents to get high, using products like dry shampoo, spray deodorant, or glue.

After Tommie and his friend tried the challenge, Tommie’s heart stopped suddenly. Medical staff confirmed that he died instantly. Now, his family is heartbroken and sharing their story to warn others about the dangers of such trends.

Tommie-Lee’s mother, Sherry, is speaking out to warn other parents about the dangers of TikTok trends. On Facebook, she shared her heartbreak, saying, “This cost my son his life because he tried something other kids are doing. Please talk to your children about the consequences. It is beyond me why anyone would even try this! It’s so dangerous!”

She continued, “I have never felt pain like this. My whirlwind. I just love you so much, mate. My baby boy. You will forever be in my heart. I will make sure your name and your beautiful face will help save other children’s lives and prevent other families from experiencing this deep, deep hurt.”
