Kathie Lee Gifford faced an incredibly tough time when she lost both her husband, Frank Gifford, and her mother, Joan Epstein, within a short period.
After these losses, she withdrew from the public eye to find comfort.
Now, Kathie Lee is ready to share her story and explain how she found strength during these hard times.
In a heartfelt interview, she talked about the intense loneliness and pain she experienced but also about how her faith played a crucial role in helping her stay strong.
Kathie Lee opened up about the day in August 2015 when she found her husband had passed away. Instead of letting grief overwhelm her, she took comfort in believing that Frank was now in Heaven, at peace with Jesus. She said, “On a beautiful Sunday morning, I found my husband passed on to Heaven… He saw Jesus and Jesus took his breath away.” This belief helped her get through the darkest days.
After losing her husband, Frank Gifford, Kathie Lee Gifford turned to her mother for comfort. But just two years later, her mother also passed away, leaving Kathie Lee feeling even more alone. With her children living far away, she struggled with intense loneliness. “My biggest struggle is loneliness,” she said. “I’ve lost my parents, my husband is gone, and my children live far away. I still live in the same big house where we made so many memories. Sometimes, the loneliness feels overwhelming.”
Despite the pain, Kathie Lee found hope and strength through her faith. She realized she was never truly alone because God was with her, helping her through her grief. She took comfort in knowing that her loved ones were in a better place.
We admire Kathie Lee Gifford for sharing her faith and strength in this touching interview. Let’s all send her our prayers and support, celebrating her resilience.
