In a delightful revelation that underscores the close bond between Princess Charlotte and her mother, the Princess of Wales, it has been disclosed that the young royal shares a taste for olives—a favorite snack of both Kate and Charlotte.
This tasty tidbit came to light during a 2019 visit to Lavender Primary School in North London, where Princess Kate affectionately mentioned her daughter’s love for the elegant treat.
During her time as the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate has often spoken about her fondness for olives.
In a heartfelt interaction with a young patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 2018, she reminisced about enjoying “lots and lots of olives” during her own childhood.
Now at nine years old, Princess Charlotte is not only following in her mother’s culinary footsteps but is also actively involved in the kitchen alongside her siblings—Prince George, 11, and Prince Louis, 6.
The trio often joins Kate in preparing family meals, with each child taking on specific roles in the cooking process. Matthew Clermon, CEO of the Ivy Learning Trust, noted that during a meeting with the princess, she shared how each child contributes: one stirs the flour, while another adds milk and butter.
Kate has also revealed that her children take joy in making pizza together, stating, “I’ve made pizza dough with George and Charlotte. They love it because they can get their hands dirty.” The Princess of Wales expressed pride in her children’s adventurous palates, noting that they enjoy spicy food—a trait that Charlotte showcased during the royal family’s trip to Pakistan in 2019.
