Royal Children Steal the Spotlight at Sandringham’s Christmas Day Walkabout
The Christmas Day walkabout at Sandringham saw the royal children steal the spotlight this morning, as Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis charmed well-wishers during the traditional festive outing.
Accompanied by their parents, The Prince and Princess of Wales, the young royals delighted the crowds as they joined King Charles and other senior members of the royal family for the occasion.
Their mother, Princess Catherine, beamed in a festive green coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.
She paired it with a matching green hat and a blue and green checkered scarf, holding hands with her youngest child, Prince Louis.
The closeness between mother and son was evident as Prince Louis clung to his mother’s hand during their walk through the crowds.
Duchess Sophie of Edinburgh turned heads in a woolen coat that cinched at the waist with a matching belt. The large pockets and tailored look gave off a chic and polished appearance. Her outfit is said to be a part of one of the biggest fashion trends to hit the high street in the New Year.
Princess Beatrice and her family, who had initially planned to spend the festive period overseas, were advised not to travel long distances. They did, however, attend other public events recently, including the pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.
Despite the ongoing challenges faced by certain members of the royal family, the Christmas service and subsequent gathering at Sandringham were a time for the family to come together and reflect on the year gone by. For the public, it also served as an opportunity to celebrate tradition, continuity, and resilience, with the royal children bringing joy and energy to the day’s events.
