It’s no secret that Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne have a great bond.

Mother and daughter have been working together producing the new Broadway musical The Outsiders, and they were seen together looking very happy on opening night.

Even since the actress divorced Brad Pitt, the relationship between the actor and his children has been strained, and as their legal battle gets more and more aggressive, the relationship continues to strain. Apparently, Vivienne has now decided to drop her dad’s last name.

It seems Vivienne Jolie-Pitt decided to completely drop her dad’s last name, at least artistically. The 15-year-old has been helping Angelina Jolie produce a new musical called The Outsiders, and in the Playbill, she’s credited as Producer Assistant Vivienne Jolie instead of her full name. This doesn’t necessarily mean that the young actress legally changed her name to drop Brad Pitt’s, but she has clearly made a choice regarding everyday use.

Vivienne is not the first of the former celebrity couple’s children to seemingly drop their father’s last name. 19-year-old Zahara was recently seen introducing herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie,”as shown in this video by Essence.

The relationship between Brad Pitt and his and Angelina’s children has been strained ever since the actress filed for divorce in 2016.

“It’s been a sad situation for years,” a source said to PEOPLE in 2022. “Since Angelina filed for divorce, Brad has been focused on having the best relationship possible with his kids. It’s been very difficult for him. Many times, there have been long gaps where he didn’t see the kids at all.”

“He misses the kids when he doesn’t see them,” the source continued. “He still has many good things going on in his life. He has a positive attitude. He believes there will be a time when he has a great relationship with his kids again.”

The Latest Developments In Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt’s Legal Battle

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s legal battle keeps heating up, and now a judge has ordered that Angelina must “produce, within 60 calendar days of this Order, all non-privileged documents in her possession, custody or control that are responsive to” Brad Pitt’s requests.

This court order is related to their fight over their vineyard, Château Miraval, and Angelina Jolie reportedly considers that this insistence that she hands over the NDAs is just the actor trying to take revenge on her for filing for divorce.

According to sources close to the actress, both Brad Pitt “and his team know that these NDAs are never going to see the light of day at trial,” and say that “this is all for the press.”

“They also know that this will force Angelina to spend resources tracking all of this information down, which is just another way to drain her resources and punish her for leaving.”

Brad Pitt sources have responded to this, saying that “The other side introduced the NDA issue into what is a straightforward business dispute, so it’s ironic that they are now complaining about it. And they are the ones who were greatly enriched from violating the parties’ agreement in selling the business.”

The source also said that the latest court order is a “significant blow to [Angelina’s] credibility” and a “strong statement challenging them to match their rhetoric with actual facts, which they consistently have been not been able to do.”
