Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are already the proud parents to four little girls, but they could be trying for a fifth child, based on the actress’s recent joke.

Blake Accused Ryan Of Wanting Another Baby

In an Instagram Story, Blake used an alarm emoji and wrote, “SOS. He’s trying to get me pregnant again,” alongside a photo of Ryan, 47, snuggling with a puppy at the Deadpool & Wolverine U.K. fan event in London last week.

Continuing her playful commentary, the Gossip Girl alum added, “Put the dog that you find adorable in spite of societal k9 expectations away and take off the damn teal suit,” before humorously concluding with, “Rude!”

Blake and Ryan first met on the set of their film Green Lantern in early 2010, where they became friends. They began dating in October 2011 and quickly became inseparable. The couple tied the knot in a private ceremony on September 9, 2012, in South Carolina.

They have since welcomed four children: their first daughter, James, was born in December 2014; their second daughter, Inez, arrived in September 2016; their third daughter, Betty, was born in October 2019; and their fourth child, whose name has not been publicly revealed, was born in early 2023.

The couple have been open about their love for parenthood and the challenges of balancing their busy schedules. Despite their demanding careers, both stars prioritize family time and have expressed deep gratitude for their children.

Blake has often shared her joy about being a mother. In a 2016 interview with Marie Claire, she said, “All my eggs are in one basket, and that’s my family. That’s where my heart is. That’s where my everything is.”

Ryan Reynolds, too, has spoken about the transformative impact of fatherhood. He told GQ, “Having a daughter was a dream come true for me. I would walk through fire for her. I am the youngest of four boys, so for me, having a daughter is a different experience that I can’t really put into words.”

Balancing their professional and personal lives is not without its challenges, but the couple has developed a system to make it work.

Ryan shared with PEOPLE , “Blake and I don’t do movies at the same time. If she is doing a movie in Thailand and I am doing a movie in Vancouver we would just never see each other. We operate as a unit, and that works really well for us.”

“The kids stay with us, and the family stays together, and that is where home is. So if we are in Spain or Utah or New York, as long as we are together, we’re home,” he concluded
