Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio have appeared together on the big screen before, but fans shouldn’t expect it to happen again.
A new report says the two actors are more competitive than ever, even trying to go for the same roles and directors as they further establish their award-winning careers.
“They have zero plans to work together again and see Once Upon A Time … In Hollywood as a one-off.
They are back to being quite sharp competitors with each other,” a source told In Touch Weekly, referring to Brad, 60, and Leo, 49.
Why Brad And Leo Refuse To Work Together Again

In 2019’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Leonardo and Brad starred as Rick Dalton, a fading television actor, and Cliff Booth, his loyal stunt double, respectively. Set in 1969 Los Angeles, the film follows their journey through a changing industry and intersects with the Manson Family murders.
Directed by Quentin Tarantino, the movie received critical acclaim for its performances, direction, and nostalgic recreation of Hollywood’s golden era. With a budget estimated around $90-96 million, it grossed over $371 million worldwide, becoming a commercial success. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood won numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor (for Brad Pitt) and Best Production Design.
“They’re going after the same scripts and the same directors and there’s a ton of overlap. Plus, their companies are similarly structured, but Brad’s Plan B has seen a massive influx of investment that hasn’t materialized for Leo’s company, Appian Way, just yet,” the source continued. “He’s working toward that and deserves that kind of windfall, but he hasn’t sealed a deal yet.”
Brad Pitt’s company, Plan B Entertainment, was founded in 2001, with a primary focus on producing quality films that challenge conventional narratives. Over the years, Plan B has garnered critical acclaim for its diverse range of projects, including 12 Years a Slave, Moonlight, and The Big Short.
On the other hand, Leonardo DiCaprio founded his production company, Appian Way Productions, in 2004. Similar to Plan B, Appian Way aims to produce thought-provoking films that make a meaningful impact on audiences. Appian Way has been involved in the production of successful projects such as The Revenant, The Wolf of Wall Street, and Shutter Island. It similarly shares a focus on producing films that address societal and environmental issues.
Brad Apparently Has The “Upper Hand” With Directors

Despite having similar career trajectories and success, the source says Brad continues to hold sway with “big directors” and “has the upper hand” in the industry.
“Yes, Leo can do anything with Scorsese, but how many movies does he have left? And it’s become very clear that Quentin Tarantino prefers to work with Brad over Leo. Quentin and Brad just get along on a different level,” they elaborated.
The source concluded by stating, “Furthermore, Brad has completely monopolized his relationship with David Fincher such that Leo has no chance to work with the guy. It’s disturbing how possessive of David Brad is, and it would kill Brad to see David make a movie with Leo. He’s not going to let that happen, period.”
For now, Brad and Leo haven’t responded to allegations of a feud.
