Britney Spears and Sam Asghari’s relationship was finalized earlier this month, but new details are coming to light about why the fitness trainer filed for divorce after only 14 months of marriage.
A new report claims the singer got violent with Sam, even chasing him with an axe, before he finally left the marriage.
“Unfortunately, when she was free of her conservatorship, Sam got the worst of it. One of the last straws for Sam, there were many, Britney chased him with an axe,” a source told In Touch.
Britney Was Allegedly Refusing Her Medication When Sam Left

“It was during one of their epic fights and Sam couldn’t control her or talk her down,” they continued. “Sam is not a confrontational person and he doesn’t like arguing. There was nothing he could do to calm her down this time.”
“The ‘axe incident’ definitely occurred when she was off her meds,” they added. “Talk of another conservatorship makes complete sense.”
Unfortunately, Sam may not be the only partner Britney has gotten violent with. Earlier this month, right after her divorce was finalized, Britney was involved in an argument at the Chateau Marmont with her boyfriend, Paul Richard Soliz. Paramedics were called after the pop star sustained an ankle injury, but she later went online to slam the invasion of privacy.
There have been various rumors about Britney’s mental state in the wake of the incident, from allegations she’s not taking her medication to talk of another conservatorship.
Britney Could Be Placed In A Conservatorship Again

The Guardian recently reported that there’s been a renewed surge in online activity surrounding the #FreeBritney movement after the highly publicized altercation at the Chateau Marmont.
The publication suggests numerous fans of Britney see the Chateau Marmont episode as a potential effort to reinstate a conservatorship over her, emphasizing the growing concern among her supporters who are vigilant against any actions that might undermine her autonomy.
“Those same fan accounts were stirring anew, prompting a resurgence of an online FreeBritney movement that she credited with helping to end her conservatorship,” the article said. “They see the Chateau Marmont incident as part of an effort to place her back under that control. Dueling narratives emerged. Some said conservatorship also exposed her to the same forces that may have triggered it in the first place.”
Moreover, reports say Britney’s team is growing increasingly concerned and considering their limited options. One report claims her dad Jamie Spears , who was formerly her conservator, may even get involved.
“Britney seemed completely out of it,” a source who witnessed the Chateau Marmont debacle told In Touch. “If she wasn’t high on something she was definitely off her meds.”
“She has no concept of money,” another source told Page Six. “For over a decade, other people were in charge of her bank accounts, and every purchase had to be reported to the court — even if it was just a pack of gum. But now, she’s on her own.” They added, “It’s tricky. No one wants to be Jamie 2.0.”
Britney hasn’t responded to allegations she was violent towards her then-husband Sam Asghari.
