Britney Spears hasn’t been afraid to call out her family online, even blaming her mother Lynne Spears for the fight she got into at Chateau Marmont with her boyfriend earlier this month.

But one of the singer’s latest Instagram posts took a dig at her grandfather, now deceased, and revealed his dark history.

Uploading a series of images with her grandfather, June, in a pool alongside one of her sons, Britney wrote in the caption, “Older man never had one !!! My grandpa passed away when I was 28 !!! I have always worked for my family because it’s all I’ve ever known !!!”

She also blasted two of her recent ex-boyfriends, though he didn’t name them. “The past two men I dated sent me list of things their children wanted and they wanted me to buy them !!! I wonder what it would have been like to feel like parents have their whole lives being taken care of !!!” the singer continued.

Britney just finalized her divorce from Sam Asghari after her filed to dissolve their marriage in August after 14 months. It’s unlikely the former Disney star was referring to Sam in the post, considering he’s not publicly known to have children.

While the actress has reportedly been dating around since their split, she’s been rumored to be dating Paul Richard Soliz, a former employee of hers who’s caused concern due to his criminal history. While Paul reportedly has children (one of his baby mamas just called him out for being an absentee dad to his 10 kids), it’s unclear if Britney was referring to him in the post.

Britney Has Discussed Her Grandfather’s Dark Past Before

While Britney didn’t share further details about her grandfather or love life, this isn’t the first time she’s opened up about her family’s disturbing past, particularly what she says her grandfather did to two of his wives. Apparently, he had them institutionalized, which draws eerie parallels to the decade-long conservatorship Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, had her in until 2021.

Last year, Britney released her gripping autobiography, The Woman In Me, unveiling a haunting recollection of her late grandfather. June’s tumultuous past involved two wives, including Britney’s grandmother Jean, who tragically ended her life at her son’s grave after being confined to an asylum by her husband.

Both Jean and Britney were reportedly subjected to lithium treatment during their respective mental health struggles. Britney disclosed June’s harsh disciplinary tactics, alleging that he compelled her father, Jamie, to endure strenuous exercise, a pattern Jamie purportedly mirrored with Britney.

Britney’s new post comes as her fans become increasingly worried for her well-being, which only increased after the worrisome hotel incident that left the singer with an injured ankle, though she’s denied claims she was in danger, even criticizing paramedics for invading her privacy by arriving at the hotel.
