Catherine Spills the Beans: Prince Louis Cheeky Moment To Sister Charlotte At Christmas Concert

Prince Louis Shares Adorable Secret at Princess of Wales’ Christmas Carol Service

Prince Louis made an adorable plea to his mother, the Princess of Wales, during the annual Together at Christmas Carol Service at Westminster Abbey.

The young prince was tasked with keeping a surprise from his older sister, Princess Charlotte, and, as the Princess of Wales revealed, the secret proved quite the challenge for the six-year-old.

It was the fourth time that Princess Catherine has hosted the event, which aims to celebrate the positive qualities found in many and bring festive cheer to the capital.

This year’s service was particularly poignant, as the Princess of Wales reflected on her own experiences. She admitted that at last year’s Carol Service, she didn’t know what 2024 would bring. However, while speaking about a special performance by a soloist from the Royal Ballet, Catherine shared a sweet moment involving her youngest son.

Catherine had enlisted Prince Louis to help keep the ballet surprise a secret from his sister, Princess Charlotte, who shares her mother’s love for dance. Catherine revealed that Louis had kept the secret for nearly two weeks, a challenging task for a young boy. “This morning, he said, ‘Mommy, please can I tell her? I’m bursting!’” she laughed. Despite his best efforts, Charlotte later lit up when she saw the ballet dancers, suggesting that her little brother had been keeping her in the loop.

Princess Catherine has long been an admirer of dance, a passion she inherited from her great-grandmother, Princess Diana. Catherine began taking ballet lessons at a young age and has often taken her children to see performances at the Royal Ballet at the Royal Opera House.

Singer Paloma Faith, one of the event’s performers, expressed sympathy for Catherine after her chemotherapy treatment earlier in the year. The Princess responded, “I didn’t know that this time last year it was going to be the year I just had,” acknowledging her personal journey and the challenges she had faced.

During the service, Catherine also met with the Scouts from the 44th Barry Robot Scout Group from Manchester and spoke with Olympic cycling champion Sir Chris Hoy and his family. Hoy, who has terminal cancer, shared that it was his first time at Westminster Abbey, making the moment even more special.

Catherine stunned in a maroon coat dress by Alexander McQueen, featuring structured shoulders, double-breasted detailing, and a flattering cut that showcased her signature elegant style. She paired the look with a burgundy beret by Sahar Milliner and accessorized with a dazzling pearl and diamond necklace once owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II.
