George and Amal Clooney have become one of the most solid couples in Hollywood, thanks to their united front and long-standing relationship.

But they may be going through a rough patch, as a new report claims the pair are largely leaving separate lives.

“They are both hardcore workaholics, so it’s like they’re in their own little bubble,” an insider exclusively revealed to In Touch.

The source highlighted that George is soon moving to New York City for about a year to star on Broadway, which is a far way’s away from his and Amal’s family home at Lake Como.

George’s Work Is Allegedly Taking A Toll On His Marriage

The couple are beginning to feel the strain, according to the insider. “They are in two very different worlds 90 percent of the day. They’re leading separate lives,” the source added.

“George runs his filmmaking operation — from directing and producing to taking acting roles in other people’s projects — like a military general. He’s a perfectionist and demands perfection from everybody who steps up to work with him,” they continued, explaining George’s work schedule and obligations have only gotten more intense since marrying Amal in 2014.

With a net worth of $450 million , the source added, “So you know he’s not doing it for the money. He truly enjoys it and is extremely hands-on.”

Meanwhile, Amal, a human rights attorney, has just as a demanding of a career, which apparently doesn’t help their marriage. “[She’s] is often traveling back and forth for work, which can become chaotic,” the source said, noting Amal frequently travels between London, where she works with clients, and The Hague in the Netherlands, home to the International Criminal Court.

In May, Amal disclosed that she had spent the previous four months working with a panel of international legal experts there, analyzing alleged war crimes in Israel and Gaza, leading to a comprehensive report recommending a series of arrest warrants.

“She’s doing so much around the world that most people don’t even know about,” they went on. “Her career will never take a back seat to George’s career, and she made that clear to him very early on.”

The Clooneys May Move For More Privacy

The most recent report follows claims that Amal and George were looking to move to France for a more low-key lifestyle, which, if true, could be an attempt to breathe new life in their relationship.

“Now that the kids are school-aged, Amal and George are thinking very seriously about where they want them to grow up,” a source said to InTouch. “As much as they both love big cities like Los Angeles and London, they feel that a smaller town offers a lot more for their kids, especially when it comes to privacy.”

“They love the countryside and the lifestyle. Amal and the twins speak French, and George is taking lessons,” they added.

For now, the Clooneys haven’t responded to reports about their relationship.
