The 51-year-old actress was at a parking lot in Santa Monica Beach, California, when she noticed a homeless man in a wheelchair.

While many celebrities might have just gotten in their cars and left, Jennifer Garner did something different. She showed once again that she is kind and caring.

According to reports, Jennifer Garner was in a car park at Santa Monica Beach earlier this week when she saw a homeless man who clearly needed help.

Instead of just driving away, the actress rolled down her car window to talk to the man. She handed him a bag filled with essential items, but she also noticed he was barefoot.

Seeing this, Garner got out of her car, crouched down next to the man, and put socks on his feet.

Not stopping there, the *13 Going on 30* star then tried to give him the shoes off her own feet. When they didn’t fit, Garner approached a nearby paparazzo who had been following her and asked if he could help.

“What size feet do you have?” she asked, according to Page Six. “Can I buy your shoes for him? He needs a shoe.”

The photographer asked about the man’s shoe size, and Garner told him he wore a “10 and a half.”

The paparazzo, who wore size 11, offered his shoes for free, saying, “Want me to give it to him? I can give it to him.” He then handed over his shoes without accepting any money from Garner.

Jennifer Garner’s kindness probably isn’t surprising to those who know about her life and career. She has always been committed to helping those in need, especially through her work with Save the Children, a partnership that started over ten years ago.

Garner once shared with *Southern Living*, “While I did not grow up poor, I was surrounded by it, and I always said I was a generation and a holler away from rural poverty. That led me to work with Save the Children, because they are leaders in helping kids in rural America.”
