Jessica Biel hasn’t commented publicly on her husbandJustin Timberlake’s arrest for a DUI, but a new report says she’s no longer going to put her career on the backburner to support his.
“She loved all the attention she got at the Met [Gala]. That was a huge win for her and proved she doesn’t need Justin by her side to make a splash,” a source told In Touch.
“And her new [series] has been going great. She’s super excited to be acting again, which she loves,” they continued.
“She’s been making a concerted effort to put herself out there without him because it’s always bugged her that people see her more as Mrs. Timberlake than her own person.”
Jessica Doesn’t Want Her Career On The Backburner
Jessica showed her commitment to her career when she was spotted filming in New York for an upcoming project the day after Justin’s arrest.
“People seemed to forget she had a huge career way before him,” the source went on. “She was a huge TV star, she was the face of Revlon, an ambassador for Tiffany’s, and on the cover of countless magazines.”
“Before they got married, her acting career was really starting to take off,” they said. “She admits she didn’t do herself any favors by letting all that take a backseat because she was in love, but now she’s really keen to get back out there and embrace her own career.”
Jessica Reportedly Wants Justin To Stay Home
“She looks amazing and is feeling sexier than ever,” they added. “She wants the chance to bring home the bacon for a change and once this tour is over she’s planning to make Justin stay home with the kids while she goes out and takes over Hollywood again.”
Justin and Jessica first met in 2007 and quickly became one of the industry’s most talked-about couples. Timberlake, known for his successful music career with NSYNC and his solo hits like “Cry Me a River” and “SexyBack,” and Biel, recognized for her role in the popular TV series 7th Heaven and movies such as The Illusionist and Total Recall, captivated fans with their romance.
After dating for several years, the couple got engaged in December 2011. They tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Italy on October 19, 2012.
