His ex-fiancee, actress Tessa Farrell, recently spoke out about the horrible circumstances of his death and shared a detail that shocked fans.

Apparently, Johnny Wactor gave his life to protect one of his co-workers. However, not everyone was happy with her sharing this story.

Johnny Wactor’s ex-fiancee, Tessa Farrell, has been a mess since she first heard about the news of his death. She dated the General Hospital actor for a few years and got engaged, but they eventually parted ways amicably. Despite their romance ending, she says the two of them remained good friends, and she still wears her engagement ring as a tribute to their relationship.

“It was a really beautiful moment, and I always — I had it on before and I always will have it on because it reminds me of, you know, true love or everlasting love,” she said in an interview with ET. “Sadly, it has another meaning to it [now], but, you know, I’m grateful — at least I have it still and I have memories of him.”

The Barbee Rehab actress also shared a story that caused a lot of controversy, and while she was trying to praise Johnny Wactor, she ended up divulging information that wasn’t hers to share.

Tessa Farrell revealed that the actor was shot because he was heroically defending his female coworker from the gunmen who were threatening them, saying she will always remember him as the “good guy” who died protecting people. While people greatly admire the actor’s bravery after hearing this, not everyone was happy she shared this story.

Johnny Wactor’s Family Don’t Want Tessa Farrell To Talk About His Death

Johnny Wactor’s mother, Scarlett, was affronted when she saw Tessa Farrell’s statements and asked that she stop talking about her son’s murder. According to TMZ, while they had dated and been engaged, Johnny Wactor hadn’t spoken to Tessa for years before his death, so Scarlett was surprised to see her speak like that.

To Tessa Farrell’s credit, she immediately listened and accepted the family’s request and made a statement promising not to share any more details of the case publicly.

“Johnny’s family and I agree it is best his past and personal life no longer be discussed during this very difficult time to allow the LAPD to streamline their work in actively bringing Johnny’s killer to justice,” she wrote, acknowledging she shouldn’t have spoken out of turn.

“I have already discussed the information I received through a personal phone call from a friend of one of Johnny’s coworkers at Level 8, regarding witness details of the incident; and will no longer be involved in discussions surrounding the details of Johnny’s murder to prevent the media from further diluting focus during the active investigation.”
