Justin Bieber appeared distraught on Thursday while out with his wife Hailey Baldwin, the day after learning that ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez is reportedly in a psychiatric facility.

The newlyweds were spotted sitting in a large black Range Rover together with the 21-year-old Tommy Hilfiger model in the driver’s seat and her husband sat shotgun.

Justin appeared to be breaking down while he rubbed his eyes during an intense conversation with Hailey before the beauty zipped off in the car.

On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Justin’s long time on-again, off-gain girlfriend Selena Gomez was going through an ’emotional breakdown’ and was receiving treatment.

In the photos, the 24-year-old singer was seen wearing a long-sleeve orange top and covering his eyes with his hands while speaking intently with his wife.

Hailey was stone faced as she sat with Justin who kept putting his face in his hands beneath a mess of unkempt blond hair and a black baseball cap.

The model wore a white Tommy Hilfiger sweater and had her hair tied back, exposing a pair of gold hoop earrings.

Bieber rubbed his eyes as he listened to a quick comment from his new wife before she quickly drove away from the cameras.

The couple, who reportedly tied the knot in a secret civil ceremony recently after a just a few months of dating, are already dealing with their first major marital hurdle after learning Gomez had been hospitalized twice in the last month.

Hailey was spotted without her beau later on Thursday paying a visit to their pastor’s home.

The young model has been very open in the past about her relationship with God and how important spiritual guidance is in her life.

Earlier in the day, her husband Justin was spotted outside of his new Los Angeles home barefoot and dressed in a bathrobe.

Cameras caught the Sorry singer puttering outside of his California home the morning after the news broke.

Dressed in a white bathrobe, the Biebs carried on a brief conversation under a mop of blond hair with another man in front of his home before heading back inside.

On Wednesday night, the Baby singer looked despondent, as he made his as way to pray at Hillsong Church in Beverly Hills.

Justin, who is a frequent worshiper at the hip young church, was comforted by some of the faithful flock outside of the service before he headed home in his car alone.

TMZ reported earlier that day that Gomez, had been hospitalized two times in as many weeks.

The first incident occurred at her Studio City home in the last week of September; friends said she was ‘despondent and emotional’ over her alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant.

The Wolves singer was taken to Cedars-Sinai where she stayed for a number of days, before being released.

However late last week the Coach ambassador had to be re-admitted for the same problem, but this time she reacted much worse.

According to TMZ she tried to leave the hospital but doctors insisted she couldn’t in her condition.

She then ‘freaked out’ and had ‘a meltdown’, tearing the IV lines out of her arm.

Selena was then taken to an East Coast psychiatric facility, where she is currently receiving dialectical behavior therapy.

DBT — which Selena has undergone in the past — is an evidence-based psychotherapy designed to help people suffering from borderline personality disorder.

Around the same time as the first incident, the actress announced that she was taking a break from social media.

‘As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given,’ she wrote.

‘Kindness and encouragement only for a bit! Just remember — negative comments can hurt anybody’s feelings. Obvi.’

Days earlier she opened up to fans in an hour-long Instagram Live session, in which she revealed ‘depression was my life ‘for five years straight.’

‘Depression and anxiety was the forefront of everything I did in my life, every single thing.

The same month, Justin reportedly secretly tied the knot with fiancee Hailey Baldwin after a whirlwind romance and swift engagement.

Gomez was just 18 when she started dating Bieber back in 2010.

The stars were young Hollywood’s ‘it’ couple until they split in 2012 but continued to date of and on until getting fully back together in 2017 following news of her kidney transplant.

Bieber rekindled his brief relationship with Hailey Baldwin quickly after his final break with Selena and the pair got engaged just a few months after the split.

Selena was reportedly ‘heartbroken’ when she learned that her ex had purchased a Canadian mansion for his future wife in August.
