Kanye West’sbillionaire days seem long behind him, as reports of his financial struggles continue.

In a new update, the rapper reportedly went to his ex-wife Kim Kardashian to ask for money, which, if true, showcases what a precarious situation Kanye is in.

“Kanye’s been burning through his savings at an alarming rate and it’s starting to have a very real impact on his bank balance,” a source claimed to In Touch.

He’s still got some money coming in, but ever since he lost that deal with Adidas, he’s seen many, many zeros drop off his net worth.”

“Reigning in his spending is not something he’s used to doing and it’s been a huge blow to his ego. Meanwhile Kim couldn’t be doing better. She’s been very smart with her money and business is booming, so she’s able to spoil the kids in a way Kanye can’t,” they explained.

Kanye Allegedly Asked Kim For Financial Help

Since filing to divorce Kanye in early 2021, Kim has surpassed a $1 billion net worth, largely due to her successful Skims brand and other business ventures. Kim is even moving into acting, with her current role on American Horror Story plus her recent revelation she’s working on a comedy film.

“She can charter a private jet or stretch limo service at the snap of a finger. He’s still on the hook for custody payments, which is also something he’s finding difficult to sustain,” they explained.

“So, it’s put him in the humiliating position of needing to actually ask Kim to give him a break and help him out,” they continued. “Having to admit to her that things are not as great as he likes to pretend is rock bottom for him, the only thing lower is going broke, so he’s had to humble himself and ask her for help”.

While Kanye was once a billionaire and the higher-earner in their relationship, his net worth took a hit when Adidas canceled its long-running partnership with Yeezy in light of Kanye’s antisemitic remarks. The rapper lost many other partnerships and opportunities due to his controversial behavior.

It’s unclear if Kim and Kanye’s child support arrangement has changed in light of his alleged financial problems. He was previously ordered to pay Kim $200,000 a month in child support for their four kids. Despite splitting custody, Ye has admitted his ex-wife has them most of the time.

Kanye Allegedly Had To Cut Back His Spending

While Kanye hasn’t commented on the allegations that he’s asking Kim for financial help, the rumors of his financial strife were further fueled when he was spotted flying economy with his wife Bianca Censori. This move was uncharacteristic for the high-profile couple, who’re used to traveling in private jets.

The same insider told In Touch that Kanye initially didn’t let his financial problems influence his spending habits. But he’s recently had to cut back as the situation apparently hasn’t improved.

“At first, he didn’t let it affect his spending habits, if anything he spent more to prove he could, but it’s now gotten to the point where he’s got no choice but to make some cutbacks, like flying coach instead of private jets,” they claimed.

Kanye appears to be continuing with this career comeback, with the promise that his Vultures 2 album will release some time soon.
