Much like most women in show business, Kate Beckinsale has had to deal with unsolicited and unwanted comments about her body and looks for years, and she’s done with it.
The actress won’t put up with it anymore, and she also won’t let the people who make those comments get away with it.
This is not the first time, and it probably won’t be the last, that Kate claps back at haters, but fans were delighted to see her response nonetheless.
She made an Instagram post and dedicated it to her critics, and looked stunning while doing it.
Kate Beckinsale Claps Back At Criticism About Her Looks
Kate Beckinsale has had enough of people commenting on how she looks and what she wears, and she made that clear with a post dedicated to her haters.
Kate posted a video of herself putting on a hairpiece and a huge bow, for which she had been criticized before. She was also wearing a pink bikini bottom, a matching crop top, and knee-high platform boots.
She captioned the video “Let’s have a toast for the douche bags. Let’s have a toast for the a**holes. Let’s have a toast for the scumbags.”
Apparently, she has been criticized in the past for supposedly not acting her age, and her goal with this video was to make all her haters angry.
“I thought I’d let them kick off their week with a little stab of joy, of me putting on a hair net,” she said in the video. “So for those of you who are gonna get off on this, have a look, b**ches.”
Last month, when she was slammed by a fan for wearing a similar oversized bow, Kate Beckinsale made sure to respond.
The commenter told her to take that “ridiculous bow off,” to which Kate replied, “As I said before, take that expression off your bitter a** face. Unless you can’t. In which case, condolences.”
Kate Beckinsale Opened Up About Losing Weight
Kate Beckinsale has been receiving a lot of comments about her body recently, especially related to her seemingly sudden and drastic weight loss, and she honestly hates them. So, when a commenter told her a couple of months ago that she was “too thin,” the actress snapped, shutting them down with a heartbreaking story detailing the traumatic events that led to her weight loss.
“I nursed my stepdad dad to his death early this year. My mum also has stuff going on. I am adjusting to watching two fathers die, one when I was 5, one in January of this year,” she snapped. “I lost my soulmate cat of almost 19 years, also last year. I spent six weeks in hospital due to copiously vomiting blood from a Mallory Weiss year [sic] caused by the stress of a whole year ripping a hole between my oesophagus [sic] and stomach.”
She went on to tell the critic that, regardless of her personal experience, it was wrong for him to be commenting on people’s bodies in general.
“The fact you fancy girls who are heavier than I am does not feature in things that are important or relevant. The fact you feel your opinion is required to bully females about their appearance is relevant to me because it needs to stop feeling like it is your, or anyone’s right.”
Needless to say, haters will probably think twice before daring to comment on Kate’s body ever again.
