Kate Beckinsale has provided few details to fans about her hospitalization last month, leaving fans to question what’s going on with the star.
However, the actress recently show down rumors that she was having plastic surgery, sending a scathing message to her so-called bullies in the process.
Kate shared two videos – one from a photoshoot she did in her younger years, and a more recent one of her at an event – with a clear message that her ageless looks aren’t the result of cosmetic enhancements.
Kate Beckinsale Had A Message For Her Online Bullies
Saying that she “hates” speaking about this subject, Beckinsale admitted to being tired of the relentless speculation that’s followed her for years, not just after her recent stint in the hospital.
“Every time I post anything – and by the way, this has been the case since I was about 30 -I am accused of having had unrecognisable surgery /using Botox using fillers /being obsessed with looking younger,” she wrote. “And it’s really such a tiresome and subtly vicious way to bully a person.”
Not only did Kate deny having plastic surgery, but she said she’s even had a surgeon refute some of the claims she’s seen about herself, adding, “I don’t actually do any of those things -I’ve even gone to the trouble of having a plastic surgeon categorically state that I don’t and haven’t, and still ,every time there’s a chorus of my God, you’re unrecognisable.”
Her caption also got deep and dark, with the mother-of-one saying there was once a point she didn’t think she’d make it out of her 20s.
“The fact that one of the major things I am bullied about is an assumption that I can’t handle the idea of getting older is so deeply ironic when my all consuming terror was that I never thought I’d even see the end of my 20s,” she wrote.
Kate ended her passionate post with a plea for her followers to stop asking what sort of work she’s had done. “Whatever someone looks like, accusing them constantly of things they haven’t done, or being obsessed with youth when actually, currently I’m obsessed with surviving loss, is bullying. Please stop now,” she wrote.
Beckinsale Hasn’t Confirmed Why She Was Hospitalized

What Kate’s post didn’t do was provide more information about the mysterious hospitalization she experienced in March. Fans wouldn’t have known the celeb was in hospital had she not posted a tearful selfie from her bedside, asking for well wishes without explaining what was going on.
The post, which wished her mother a good UK Mother’s Day, Kate wrote, “Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s s— and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t.”
Beckinsale added, “And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us… And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love.”
For now, fans keep questioning what’s going on with Beckinsale’s health.
