Princess Kate has treated her royal fans with a positive update.
On Friday, the Princess of Wales announced that she plans to join King Charles III’s birthday parade.
Kate’s revelation marks a cautious step back into public life after revealing in March that she’s undergoing cancer treatment.
The exciting update came via a touching six-paragraph statement. She highlighted her recovery progress since her hospitalisation for abdominal surgery last January. Read further to get the lowdown!
Princess Kate Reflects on Her Health Journey
Princess Kate began by talking about her recuperation journey: “I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.” Moreover, Catherine explained how we have to give our bodies a rest during the downtime. Then, there are some days when we feel stronger and want to make the most of feeling well.
The Princess of Wales mentioned she hopes to participate in a few other public events over the summer. However, she clarified that her appearance at the parade on Saturday doesn’t mean she’s fully returning to public duties yet.
Princess Kate wrote, “I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family. But she declared, “I am not out of the woods yet.” Furthermore, she revealed about learning how to deal with uncertainty patiently. “Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much-needed time to heal.” Anyway, this tentative return was a relief for the British royal family. It is because they are among the most visible royals. The King, who was seeking treatment for a prostate issue in January, began resuming public duties in April.
The Reigning Monarch attended the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings. Additionally, Charles celebrated his 75th birthday in November, but the official celebration, known as Trooping the Colour, has yet to take place. During the event, 1,400 Household Division officers will parade from Buckingham Palace along the Mall to Horse Guards Parade and back. Interestingly, sources revealed that Catherine would ride in a state carriage with her children. On top of this, Princess Kate will also appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the family.
Subsequently, a Buckingham Palace spokesman said Charles was happy that the princess was able to attend the event. They added, “He is very much looking forward to all elements of the day.” As for her treatment, Middleton would continue for “a few more months” while enjoying time with her kids and doing philanthropy. “It is a joy to engage with school life and spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity.” Moreover, the Princess of Wales is grateful for all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last few months.
Princess Kate confessed that it drastically impacted how she and William helped them through some of the harder times.” Finally, Catherine recently apologised to the Irish Guards for missing a crucial parade practice, as she was their honorary Colonel last year.
