Katie Holmes has stepped out for coffee in New York City with her daughter, Suri Cruise.

The mother-daughter duo have looked strikingly similar on recent outings, as the teenager has finally reached adulthood.

Katie, 45, was joined by her daughter Suri, 18, who she shares with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, for a fun coffee date in New York City on Monday.

The actress and her child were seen strolling together down the street for the first time since the teenager’s big birthday on April 18.

The mother-daughter duo enjoyed conversation and sipped their beverages during their relaxed walk in the city.

Katie sported baggy denim pants, a white and gold collared shirt with a gray sweater over the top, black sunglasses, and black Adidas for the occasion.

Her hair was pulled back into a bun and she went makeup-free.

Meanwhile, Suri donned a long red and white sundress paired with a baggy jean jacket and brown boots.

Her long dark hair hung over her shoulders and she also went makeup-free, just like her mom.

The pair looked the spitting image of one another during the excursion.

ALL GROWN UP

Over the weekend, Suri celebrated her milestone 18th birthday with friends in the city.

The child star showed off her style in a vintage look of a ’90s-inspired double denim outfit.

Suri sported a silky nude tank top paired with a red zip-up sweater, baggy jeans, black sneakers, and a large denim jacket draped over her arm.

She carried a Starbucks in one hand and huge flower bouquets from a local shop in her other.

Tom, 61, and Katie’s daughter sought shelter under an umbrella as rain started to come down while carrying a gift bag from one of her pals.

MOM’S NIGHT OUT

Meanwhile, the Dawson’s Creek star was nowhere to be found on her only child’s big day.

Instead, the TV personality was seen grabbing dinner with a mystery man as Suri partied the night away.

Katie grinned while walking down the street with her unknown companion in a floor-length black trench coat and jeans with a wild yellow flower pattern.

She covered up in a pair of dark oval sunglasses despite it already being nighttime in Manhattan.

Meanwhile, the actress’ friend was dressed in a casual gray turtleneck under a green coat.

ESTRANGED RELATIONSHIP

Suri’s famous father also missed out on her big birthday, as he was across the pond in London.

The action star was filming new scenes for his next adventure in the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Tom has been estranged from his daughter since his divorce from Katie when she was just 5 years old.

The Batman Begins star gained sole custody of Suri after their infamous 2012 split, along with a large sum of money.

Many believe the reason behind their divorce was the actor’s religious affiliation with the Church of Scientology.

After Katie chose to leave the controversial community, she and Suri went off the radar for years.

The mother-daughter duo rebuilt their lives in New York, miles away from Los Angeles-based Tom.

The 18-year-old has reportedly not seen her father since Christmas 2013.

A source previously revealed to the MailOnline, “Suri does not know her father anymore and she has not spent time with him in a decade.

“She does not go to see his movies and he has no part in her life.”
