Kim Kardashian has no intention of selling the Hidden Hills mansion she won during her divorce from Kanye West, after originally purchasing it in 2014.
It’s the home they started their family in, and despite having a mix of memories, Kim recently said the good outweighs the bad.
Kim Says The Mansion Has Mostly Positive Memories
“The best memories I have growing up are in our family home, and I always want to create those memories and safe space for my kids,” she recently told PEOPLE. “So, I can’t ever imagine moving.”
“We’ve created such beautiful memories here already,” she continued.
Kim has infamously renovated the mega mansion multiple times throughout the years. In fact, Kim and Kanye lived with Kris for a long stretch while they poured millions into renovations after buying it for $20 million.
When the SKIMS founder divorced Kanye in 2021, she purchased it from him for $23 million, even though the home was valued at $60 million. Ye had spent months trying to win Kim back, publicly voicing his intentions to do so, but their division of assets was relatively seamless. Kim renovated the mansion again following their split.
Why Kim Loves The House So Much

During the PEOPLE interview, Kim admitted she loves the minimalistic design and neutral colors of her house, despite it receiving backlash online. Even her own daughter North has slammed the property as boring. But clearly Kim likes it, describing it as a peaceful place.
“My home provides a much-needed sanctuary of calm,” she tells PEOPLE . “When I step inside after a busy day, it creates a sense of peace that allows me to truly be present with my kids. After all, at the end of the day, that’s what matters most.”
Some people may find it strange that Kim wants to remain in the home she once shared with her ex-husband, especially considering the end of their marriage got messy. But perhaps when you have multiple properties to your name, it makes a difference. This is only one of many mansions in Kim’s real estate portfolio.
In addition to her Hidden Hills abode, Kardashian owns a condominium in Calabasas, California. Acquired in 2017 for $1.6 million, this three-bedroom property aligns with her minimalist aesthetic. She also invested in a sprawling ranch in Cody, Wyoming, purchased in 2019 for $14 million.
With a billion-dollar net worth, and a business empire that’s quickly expanding, it’s no surprise Kim has multiple properties to her name. But the reality star is keeping fans guessing as to where she’ll invest in next, or if she has her eyes set on different sorts of investments. She doesn’t just have homes, after all, as Kim also owns a $150 million private jet, as you do.
