Meghan Markle is preparing to relaunch her podcast Archetypes after Spotify shockingly cancelled their production deal, but it seems fans are going to have to wait a little longer.

Apparently, the actress has postponed its launch, which coincides with the rocky launch her new lifestyle brand has had.

While there have been reports that Markle is set to debut a new podcast soon, royal expert Richard Eden says it’s not coming as soon as fans think.

Speaking to Daily Mail, he claims the project “got pushed back to 2025.”

She’s apparently working with podcast network Lemonada, but they didn’t want it to be overshadowed by the two new Netflix shows Meghan and Prince Harry are working on.

It was originally revealed Markle had signed on to work with Lemonada in February after looking around for someone new to host her podcast. “Being able to support a female founded company with a roster of thought provoking and highly entertaining podcasts is a fantastic way to kick off 2024,” she said in a statement. “Our plan [is] to re-release Archetypes so that more people can now have access to it, as well as launching a dynamic new podcast are well in the works.”

No other details have bene provided about the podcast, including what format it’ll take and when it’s supposed to release. But Eden said that it’s likely pushed back by a year since no news has come forth about the project, even though there’s a lot of info available about her new Netflix ventures.

Meghan’s Archetypes podcast was originally scrapped in June 2023 after only 12 episodes, though it was largely well received. “The team behind Archetypes remain proud of the podcast they created at Spotify,” a statement said at the time. “Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform.”

It was rumored Netflix was also considering cancelling its production deal with Harry and Meghan, though they’re clearly going forward with new projects. The couple were in Florida recently filmed for one of the shows, which will explore Harry’s passion for polo. Another one has been branded as a Martha Stewart-esque show that’ll follow Meghan as she explores her interests in cooking, decorating, and more. It’s been confirmed the couple’s kids will not be filmed.

Meghan has a lot of projects on the go, including her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The brand was initially called a “flop” when the website launched without any products. But Markle’s friends have been flaunting what appears to be its first product, a jam, which is likely only the start of the lifestyle company.

Harry and Meghan continue to face allegations of financial distress, which likely puts even more pressure on their current projects. But with Harry recently changing his place of residence officially to the United States, the couple have made it clear they’re intent on making it work in Hollywood.
