Nick Cannon has admitted to having to spread himself thin to see all his children, and with 12 kids, it’s no surprise.
This Father’s Day, the television host said he’s going to do his best to see all of his kids, even if briefly.
“It’s definitely one of those days where I got be on my Ps and Qs the entire day,” he recently told PEOPLE.
“It’s supposed to be a day where I get to rest, but I want to give all my kids the opportunity to connect and give me gifts, and all that type of stuff. It’s a fun day and I appreciate all the love that I get on that day.
Nick Will Bring His Kids To Work On Father’s Day
This year, even though Nick Cannon will be busy filming for The Masked Singer on Father’s Day, he anticipates celebrating the special day with many of his children on set. Cannon expects, “probably a lot of kids would be on set,” making the holiday a family affair despite his work commitments, he explained.
When it comes to Father’s Day gifts, the doting father emphasizes that it’s “all about arts and crafts gifts.” He joyfully describes the thoughtful presents he receives from his children, saying, “I’m getting the macaroni necklaces, the construction paper card, all of that stuff, which I love.”
These homemade treasures hold a special place in his heart and office. “My offices are filled with great gifts that my kids have created and conjured up,” Cannon proudly shared.
Cannon has 12 children and has said he’s open to even more in the future, despite backlash for his large brood. He shares twins Morocco and Monroe with his ex-wife, Mariah Carey. With Brittany Bell, Cannon has three children: sons Golden Sagon and Rise Messiah Cannon, and a daughter named Powerful Queen.
His family also includes twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, as well as a daughter, Beautiful Zeppelin, all of whom he co-parents with Abby De La Rosa. Additionally, Cannon has a son, Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi, and a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole.
Cannon Feels Like He’s Spread Thin
Cannon also has a family with Alyssa Scott, with whom he has two children. Their son Zen tragically passed away at just five months old in December 2021, following a heartbreaking battle with brain cancer. They later welcomed their daughter, Halo Marie Cannon, in December 2022.
Nick has been adamant about being an involved father, though he’s candid about the huge commitment having so many kids is, beyond finances. “Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” Nick admitted in December 2022. He was expecting hi 12th child at the time. “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin.”
One thing fans can’t deny is Nick is an involved dad, even if his kids only get a small amount of time with him each.
