Now that Kate Middleton has officially put her chemotherapy treatment behind her, she should be celebrating.
But according to one report, it seems she may not be thrilled by the way her big announcement was received when she shared the good news in an Instagram post last month.
Kate does seem to read the comments online, and it doesn’t appear to be doing anything positive for her — especially not after the year she’s had.
Kate revealed that she had finished treatment in a video she shared on September 9.
The video is beautifully put together, showing video footage of the more personal moments Kate has spent with her family during this time, from the Middletons to her own kids, George, Charlotte, and Louis.
“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” Kate said in the video. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”
Not everyone was lining up to wish Kate well, though.
As pointed out by In Touch Weekly (via Yahoo!), some people instead decided to use the video to point out how much privilege Kate had in getting top-notch medical care as a member of the royal family.
Another tweet read, “She hasn’t lifted a fingernail to help cancer sufferers or awareness or treatment access. Easy, low bar, simple wins. The Royal grift continues apace.”
Comments like these were reportedly difficult for Kate to swallow.
