Prince Harry’s ‘last straw’ with Royal Family exposed after ‘slap in the face’

Prince Harry endured his “last straw” with the Royal Family back in June 2023 and few people really realised what a “slap in the face” it was for the Duke, claims a royal expert.

Last year, Harry and his wife Meghan Markle were evicted from Frogmore Cottage with his father, The King, requesting that they vacate after they stepped down from royal duties in 2020.

Following this, Harry changed his primary residence last week, from the United Kingdom to the United States, with it backdated to when they officially vacated the cottage last June.

And now an expert claims that the Duke of Sussex didn’t feel best pleased when his father made the request, with Harry even perceiving it as a “vindictive” move that left him “furious”.

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn says: “The story of Harry’s change of residence may have come out only in the past few days, but in fact Harry quietly changed his primary residence as long ago as June 29, 2023 – on the very day he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor estate. That’s the date given in new business documents filed in the US this week.”

Mr Quinn then revealed what the “last straw” was for the Duke of Sussex, telling us: “At the time, few people realised what a slap in the face the eviction from Frogmore felt like for Harry – it was the last straw.”

He also touched on how Harry was “absolutely furious and in tears about being evicted from Frogmore”, with the Duke feeling as though his father “had no right” to evict him and his wife, with it also seen as being a “purely vindictive” move.

“Harry was absolutely furious and in tears about being evicted from Frogmore – he felt his father had no right to do it and that it was purely vindictive,” Mr Quinn told us, adding that Harry didn’t understand why stepping back from being a working royal would inevitably mean being deprived of his royal residence.

“Harry took it as a cruel rejection – a painful reminder of all that he felt when his father fought with his mother during their long drawn out, painful divorce,” he added.
