Rita Ora is a seasoned singer, but he likely wasn’t expecting the reaction she got from the audience at her latest performance, as she struggled to find anyone who knew the lyrics to her songs while trying to get viewers to sing along.
The singer delivered an impressive set of her greatest hits at the music festival in Brockwell Park, south London.
During her Sunday afternoon performance of “Anywhere,” Rita Ora attempted to engage the audience by stepping down from the stage.
However, a video posted on X showed Ora struggling to find anyone in the crowd who could sing along with her.
Rita Wasn’t Expecting The Audience’s Awkward Reaction
One festival-goer commented on the platform, “Rita Ora trying to find ANYONE in the front row to sing her song acapella is one of the best, most embarrassing things I’ve ever seen omg then she sang the wrong song.”
Rita faced difficulty in finding someone who knew the lyrics and ended up awkwardly switching to a different song. Rita also performed her other popular songs such as “Your Song,” “Hot Right Now,” and “Lonely Together.”
Despite the mishap, Rita looked stunning on stage. She started her performance in a bright yellow coat, which she later removed to reveal a chic outfit consisting of a white crop top, yellow hot pants, and platform lace-up boots. Her blonde hair was styled in loose curls, and she accessorized with retro sunglasses.
Rita Says Her Next Album Will Take More Time

Rita’s awkward performance follows her update on her fourth album, admitting fans will have to wait longer to hear new music. But the way they reacted to her latest performance, there may be little hype for more hits.
Though she recently dropped her new single “Ask & You Shall Receive,” igniting hopes a new album might be on the horizon, Rita told The Sun it’ll likely be six months before the record is ready, though its production is going well so far.
“The album is going really well. I’m taking it just one song at a time to be honest. I’m not sure it will be ready for this year though,” she explained. “But the great thing about my label (BMG) is that I have the time and they are really chill like that.”
Her most recent album, You & I, came out last year and featured tracks inspired by her 2022 wedding and growing marriage to director Taika Waititi, 48. When asked if her upcoming album would also revolve around their relationship, Rita candidly responded, “I’m a bit bored of that now… I want my music to move on, have fun and do what makes me feel good.”
She added, “If it doesn’t make me feel good, I’m not doing it, and I’ve found that very liberating.”
Given Rita’s latest album is hardly a year old – and fans barely seem familiar with it – she’ll have a lot to sing in her repertoire until the new music comes out.
