Taylor Swift fans have been left in hysterics over bizarre new theory about her latest Eras Tour outfit being an apparent nod to boyfriend Travis Kelce.

One eagle-eyed Swiftie recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share the unusual observation that the 34-year-old singer had slipped into the same ensemble as Brittany Miller from the Alvin And The Chipmunks movie.

The post featured an image of the animated character – Alvin’s love interest – in a fuchsia bandeau top and textured teal skirt alongside another snapshot of Taylor on stage wearing an eerily similar ensemble.

Many took this to be a sign that the songstress was playing along with popular memes that recently showed movie protagonist Alvin in a bold red ensemble in comparison to NFL star Kelce.

In the original comparison involving Kelce, the user added the caption: ‘Someone on TikTok just said Travis Kelce is giving Alvin and I’m losing my mind over it.’

And now fans are wondering whether Taylor has leaned into the resemblance in her own choice of outfit.

The post which featured the singer alongside Brittany was uploaded alongside a caption that read, ‘I’M CRYING,’ with a laughing emoji.

It was soon flooded with comments as hundreds thought it was a purposeful choice – claiming Taylor had seen the post about her beau and been inspired.

One person wrote: ‘SHE SAW THE MEME WITH HER AND TRAVIS.’

Another commented: ‘Mother really saw the meme and made it on the Eras Tour outfit – I just burst out laughing.’

Someone else commented: ‘She’s really a Taylurker! I love it! She reads everything!’

A fourth added: ‘OMG THIS IS ON PURPOSE. SHE KNOWSSSS.’

Another fan wrote: ‘She’s claiming it all the way.’

‘THIS WAS SPOT ON,’ one person commented, as someone else gushed: ‘Both ATE actually.’

But this isn’t the first time that Taylor has referenced her athlete boyfriend during her concert – having first started dating in September 2023.

She appeared to pay tribute to the Chiefs on Sunday – with her boyfriend in the crowd for her Eras Tour in Paris.

The performance marked the 87th show of the international tour, which will come to the likes of Stockholm, Lisbon and Madrid in the coming days.

And given that Kelce’s jersey number is 87 as well, Swift wore a Chiefs-themed ensemble to the stage to mark the occasion.

The pop star wore a gold top and red skirt as other celebrities such Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper watched from the crowd.

Swift also performed ‘The Alchemy’ during her set. The song is widely believed to be about Kelce.
