Taylor Swift is continuing to travel all over the world with her Eras tour, but despite reports that Travis Kelce will be joining her for much of the European leg, the singer’s friends are reportedly concerned about her separation anxiety.
“They’re going to be facing their longest time apart. He’ll make some trips to see her, but she can’t be leaving tour to see him so she’s got to leave this all up to him and it’s making her very anxious,” a source told Life & Style.
Why Taylor Is Reportedly So Anxious
“Her separation anxiety has kicked in big time and it’s very worrisome for friends who think it’s a bad sign that she’s so panicked about having to have time apart from him,” they continued.
Separation anxiety is often associated with children, but can also significantly impact adult relationships, manifesting as distress when partners are apart. This anxiety can lead to feelings of insecurity and worry, impacting the well-being of both individuals involved.
In romantic relationships, separation anxiety underscores the importance of communication and trust, as it can challenge the stability and happiness of the partnership. Needless to say, if the reports about Taylor’s anxiety are true, it could be a hindrance to her relationship, not just her mental health.
“But from her friends’ perspective, she ought to be able to enjoy her own company still. Before he came along, she was so excited about touring, and now it’s like she can’t enjoy it unless he’s with her,” the insider added.
Swift Has Reason To Be Concerned About Her Safety
Unfortunately, Taylor has had reason to be concerned for her safety. Earlier this year, she faced a stalker threat after a man tried making contact at her New York condo. He showed up to her residence multiple times, including directly after being released from jail. This wasn’t an isolated incident, as Swift has experienced many stalkers over her career.
Travis, too, has shared how his security concerns have been heightened amid the high-profile romance. He admitted to having to move out of his Kansas home after Swifties discovered his address and started showing up in person. He upgraded to a $6 million mansion with enhanced security features. But Travis recently said he can’t even get mail delivered to his house, as fans continue to breach his privacy.
The NFL star’s family has also expressed their security woes, including his older brother Jason Kelce, who revealed just how different Taylor’s level of fame is than what they’d experienced previously.
“It’s certainly been weird, the level that it is now,” Jason said to NBC Sports earlier this year. “On one hand, I’m happy for my brother that he seems to be in a relationship that he’s excited about, that he is genuine about. But there’s another end of it where it’s like, ‘Man, this is a lot.'”
“So, on one hand, really, really happy for my brother and where he’s at in his current situation with Taylor,” he went on. “But on the other hand, there’s some alarms sometimes with how over-in-pursuit people can be.”
Taylor hasn’t commented on her reported separation anxiety.
