Teen Mom 2 star Javi Marroquin is a dad again! The reality star has welcomed a second child with Lauren Comeau, despite the cheating scandal that tore their relationship apart shortly after their son’s birth.

The couple announced the arrival of their baby girl in a heartwarming post with their followers on Instagram.

The announcement features seven Polaroid photos of Marroquin and Comeau holding their newborn.

One of the snapshots also included Marroquin’s 10-year-old son, Lincoln, whom he co-parents with ex Kailyn Lowry.

Their 5-year-old son, Eli, was also part of the family photo, smiling brightly between his new baby sister and his older brother.

“Sissy is here! Our sweet sister girl arrived last night & we are all head over heels in love,” they captioned the post. The couple haven’t revealed their daughter’s birth date or name.

Javi And Lauren Have Been On-And-Off For Years

Javi rose to fame as a cast member on Teen Mom 2 (as well as the franchise’s spin-offs) where his relationship and subsequent marriage to Kailyn were prominently featured. The couple went through a tumultuous relationship that included numerous publicized fights and reconciliations, eventually leading to their divorce in 2016.

Only a year later, he began Lauren, though their relationship has been marred by ups and downs, with temporary splits occurring, notably when the MTV personality briefly dated Teen Mom’s Briana DeJesus (who also happens to be a public nemesis of Kailyn).

However, Lauren and Javi reunited in March 2018, and shortly after, they announced Lauren was pregnant with their son. Though their son was born in 2019, less than a year later, their bond was rocked by a highly publicized scandal when Marroquin admitted to cheating on Comeau, leading to a temporary breakup.

Lauren allegedly found Javi in a compromising situation, discovering him naked with another woman in their home. After the reports broke, Javi didn’t deny the allegations, rather opting to publicly address the situation on Instagram, offering a heartfelt apology to his partner.

In his post, he expressed remorse, stating, “Lauren, I’m sorry for my mistakes, I’m sorry I broke your heart, I’m sorry I disrespected you.”

Javi Previously Filed A Restraining Order Against Lauren

Despite the apology, their relationship hit another rough patch when allegations surfaced on Teen Mom 2 in 2020, revealing that he attempted to engage in intimate relations with his ex, Kailyn.

Tensions escalated further when Javi filed a restraining order against his former fiancée in June 2021, citing instances of alleged physical violence. In his filing, he detailed incidents where Lauren hit him in front of their son, expressing concern for his safety and their child’s well-being.

As a result, the court ordered Lauren to maintain a distance of 100 feet from Javi, his residence, and his workplace, limiting communication to text or email solely regarding their son, Eli.

However, in a surprising turn of events, Javi filed for the voluntary dismissal of the petition in the same month, asserting that he no longer felt threatened by Lauren.

The pair then sparked reconciliation rumors in 2022 when they shared posts on social media showcasing them hanging out as a family unit with their kids. Lauren and Javi announced she was expecting baby no. 2 in December, and they’re clearly now focused on celebrating their new addition.
