The Prince and Princess of Wales have made a significant move toward resuming their work in the United States, marking a new chapter for their philanthropic endeavors.
Just weeks after Princess Catherine quietly returned to work following her cancer treatment, both William and Catherine have reportedly taken steps to officially expand their Royal Foundation charity into the United States.
According to reports, Prince William and Princess Catherine have completed and submitted official documents to the United States Patent and Trademark Office as part of the preparations for the launch of their charity in the U.S.
The foundation, which will focus on mental health and well-being, was initially set to begin its U.S. operations last year.
Prince William first filed for the trademark in May 2023, but plans were temporarily put on hold due to Kate’s cancer diagnosis and treatment.
A palace source spoke to *Tatler* magazine, explaining that while the administrative reshuffling regarding the charity is primarily internal “housekeeping,” it is being seen as a positive step in light of the Princess’s recovery.
Her return to work and public duties following her treatment is being hailed as a hopeful sign of her ongoing strength.
Earlier this month, Princess Catherine made a personal video announcement, revealing to the public that she had officially completed her chemotherapy treatment and was looking forward to returning to her royal duties. “I am grateful for the support and look forward to regaining my strength,” she said in the video message shared by the palace.
