This past weekend, Tom Brady was the subject of a roast during a Netflix live event, and while there were some fun parts, it doesn’t look as if many people, the former NFL player included, enjoyed the jokes that much.

A lot of it centered around Tom Brady’s personal life, and touched some delicate subjects, including his divorce from Gisele Bundchen and his separation from Bridget Moynahan.

After the jokes about the model’s alleged cheating and about how Tom Brady’s relationship with Bridget ended, his ex and the mother of his son made a cryptic post about loyalty that seemed to reference the roast and her complicated relationship with Tom.

Tom Brady’s Ex Bridget Moynahan’s Cryptic Post

Tom Brady and actress Bridget Moynahan were together for about two years, and split up while Bridget was pregnant with their son, Jack. Their separation was very public, and all things considered, they managed it gracefully, but of course there’s bitterness in private.

Comedian Nikki Glaser referred to their separation in Tom Brady’s roast on the Netflix live special. “But seriously, Tom, you’re the best to ever play for too long. You retired, then you came back and then you retired again, I get it, it’s hard to walk away from something that’s not your pregnant girlfriend. It’s tough,” he joked.

The roast also mentioned his marriage with Gisele Bundchen, making fun of the rumors that they had split up because she had cheated on him with her martial arts instructor, something that made him very uncomfortable.

Shortly after, Bridget Moynahan made a cryptic post about loyalty. Tom Brady’s relationships with Bridget and Gisele slightly overlapped, which is what the actress seemed to be referring to in her repost of an image that read “Loyal people take s**t more personal because they never would’ve done that s**t to you.” She captioned the image with “So true.” Fans also speculated that she might be telling Tom Brady that he had it coming after the way their relationship ended.

Gisele Bundchen Was Hurt By The Jokes About Her Alleged Cheating

The jokes during the roast were not tasteful, and far from just being innuendos, they talked about Gisele Bundchen’s alleged cheating as if it was a fact, which was not only disrespectful but also hurtful and uncomfortable for Tom Brady.

“Gisele gave you an ultimatum,” Kevin Hart joked during the roast. “She said you have to retire or you’re done. But when you have a chance to go 8-9 you gotta do it. You know who also f***ed their coach? Gisele, she f***ed her karate coach. Tom, how did you not see this coming? Eight karate classes a day?”

According to sources, Gisele Bundchen quickly found out about the jokes and was very hurt. She was “deeply disappointed by the disrespectful portrayal of her family on Sunday evening’s roast show,” but is trying to move past it. “As always, [Gisele’s] priority is to support her children who were affected by the irresponsible content that was broadcasted.”

The roast came as a surprise to the supermodel, as sources informed that she was busy working with victims of a flood in her home country.

“This past week, Gisele has been tirelessly dedicated to aiding those in need in her home state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, which is grappling with the worst flooding in its history,” the insider explained. “She was concerned about family affected by the devastating floods, so to hear her life being joked about was very disappointing.”

As it stands, it doesn’t look like anyone enjoyed the jokes about such personal matters.
