Logan Paul is no stranger to controversy, as in 2020 he was ‘canceled’ for posing next to a corpse in a forest in Japan.
Despite losing several endorsement deals, Paul bounced back and now has a ridiculous net worth and enjoys over-the-top spending.
Donald Trump was praised as a ‘martyr’ and garnered a huge wave of backlash for his actions.
Paul gave the disgraced former head of state a platform as a way to support his re-election campaign, but it could be one of the biggest mistakes of his career.
Paul sat down with Trump, who had earlier made suggestive comments about Taylor Swift and received gifts from the former head of state while receiving mass criticism online.
In this article we will look at Logan Paul’s podcast interview with Trump, why he called the former President a martyr, the gifts he received, and people’s reaction to the entire interview.
Logan Paul Calls Donald Trump A Martyr After His Conviction During His Impaulsive Podcast
During his Logan Paul interview, Donald Trump spoke of his recent conviction of 34 felonies at the start of the interview but bragged about having the highest fundraising in history afterward. “I don’t think there’s ever been that much money raised that quickly. Hundreds of millions.”
Recent Cases Against Donald Trump | Status |
Battery & Defamation of author E.Jean Carroll | Guilty and ordered to pay $5 million in damages |
Business Fraud in NewYork | Guilty and ordered to pay $454 million |
Storage of Classified Documents in Mar-A-Largo | Case on Hold |
Election Tampering in Florida | Case on Hold |
Stormy Daniels Hush Money | Guilty on 34 felony counts |
Paul responded, “You’ve become a martyr of sorts. It’s insane. $140 million in May.” Trump fundraised more than President Joe Biden’s campaign after his conviction.
Logan Paul was not the first one to call the former president a martyr. Trump branded himself one after he was found guilty of felony charges, adding that he was being persecuted on behalf of Christians in America. The businessman spoke to the press after his court hearing and alleged he was being attacked for standing up for the religious rights of the American people.
“In the end, they’re not after me, they’re after you. I just happen to be very proudly standing in their way.”
He urged the public and especially Christian voters to turn out in masses to vote out President Joe Biden and tell him, “You’re fired!” During the podcast interview, Paul encouraged the former president to make a diss track against Biden.
Trump continued, “I think it helps that Biden is just so bad, he is so bad. He is the worst president in the history of our country and I think that helps too.” Paul pointed out that Trump was willing to ‘sacrifice’ himself for the country despite people trying to take him down.
The reason Donald gave was that he wanted to get back to the top position because of the immense support he received from the people, which he termed as a ‘Love Fest’. According to Trump, the rally in New Jersey had a huge turnout of 107,000 people.
“Our country has tremendous potential, but it’s going down the tubes very rapidly and nobody has ever seen anything like it. The way it’s being run is so badly. But we can change it quickly.”
Logan Paul Was Overjoyed After He Received ‘Make America Great Again’ Merchandise From Donald Trump
Logan Paul shocked fans when he invited former President Donald Trump to his Imapulsive Podcast. Surprisingly, the first thing Trump did when he met Paul and his co-host, Mike, was give them gifts. The gifts included hats with Trump’s infamous logo, ‘Make America Great Again’ and two t-shirts with his mugshot photo in the center.
The shirts had the words ‘NEVER SURRENDER’ printed in bold. Trump bragged about the popularity of his merchandise, and added that they sell ‘like crazy’. Judging by the grin on Paul’s face, he was over the moon after receiving the gifts and was ready to wear them over his suit.
Paul applauded the former president for monetizing an otherwise bad situation since he has also made money off his most controversial scandals.
Trump’s merchandise being sold on sites like Amazon, includes mug shot t-shirts, flags, yard signs, collectible bills, cups with the words, ‘Not guilty,’ and ‘Take Back America Trump 2024’. Most of the merchandise has a price range of between $16-$30.
Trump had been making headlines after he was convicted on 34 felony charges, including falsifying business records to win the 2016 Presidential election. Unlike most people who would be embarrassed about having a mugshot, Trump seemed proud and even mentioned other celebrities that have been in a similar position.
“Well, Elvis had one, Frank Sinatra had one, but we’ve eclipsed them. A long time ago, we’ve eclipsed them all.”
Elvis Presley got his mugshot after he was arrested for disorderly conduct and assault, which is far from the felony charges Trump was convicted for, which include conspiracy to defraud the US and going against the rights of citizens. When asked how he felt about the mugshot, Donald Trump added that he wasn’t sure if he loved it or not, but Paul assured him, “I have to be honest, I’m jealous.”
Paul was adamant that, despite what everyone thinks, Trump’s supporters loved the mugshot. “They love the picture. They rallied behind it. They’re rallying behind you now more than ever.”
Trump also touched on Logan Paul and his brother’s, Jake Paul’s boxing careers, and asked if they have ever been in any fights. Logan revealed he has only physically fought his brother once, when he punched him during a fight.

Logan Paul’s fanbase had mixed reviews over the Donald Trump interview. Their reaction is mostly because of Paul’s ever-changing stance when it comes to politics. After George Floyd’s death when Trump was in office, Paul vocalized his support for the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020 and was praised by critics for his passionate support. “It’s not enough to be not racist. You have to be anti-racist. You have to hold your friends, family, yourself accountable and use your privilege.” But now, Paul is endorsing Trump, which made fans say he’s only doing it because it’s popular. One X user gave their opinion, “Logan Paul attacked Trump in the last election, but now he’s cool with Trump????”
Popular steamer, Sneako added, “Now when it’s socially acceptable to be with Donald Trump and there’s clout to gain, then you see these influencers doing what is convenient. Would he have done that four years ago, peak COVID, George Floyd era? Absolutely not. I don’t think any of it is genuine whatsoever.”
A third user wondered why Logan would risk losing half of his supporters by endorsing Trump. “I guess it goes to show you his speech during the BLM protests was a-bunch of clout chasing focus-grouped bulls***, if he can so cordially pal around with Proud Boys apologist Donald Trump.”
